Announcing Lubin's First "Lecturer in Residence"

Barry Klarberg ’81, ’85, CEO and founder, Monarch Business and Wealth Management, will be Lubin’s first Lecturer in Residence. Barry formed Monarch Wealth and Business Management LLC in 2008, a full service family office firm specializing in providing business and wealth management services to high net-worth individuals, athletes and entertainers. As a Lecturer in Residence, Barry will bring his expertise to Lubin students by serving as a guest lecturer in classes covering arts and entertainment management, sports marketing, and taxation. Barry will also serve as an Executive in Residence on the Pleasantville campus on April 16. The day will include brunch with a select group of students and faculty members, a guest lecture at a large assembly of Lubin undergraduate students, and a reception with University and Lubin leadership. Barry holds ownership stakes in the New York Yankees, the Memphis Grizzlies and the New York City FC, a professional soccer team that will make its debut in Major League Soccer (MLS) this year.

Pace’s Online Programs Rank High
For the fourth year in a row, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Pace among the top ten Best Online Bachelor’s Programs. The report also recognized Dyson’s Criminal Justice and Security online graduate program as number two in the nation.

Can you handwrite 10-15 congratulatory notes to newly admitted undergraduate and graduate Fall 2015 students? Admitted students who plan to attend Pace will be honored to receive a hand-written note from an alumnus/a, and for those who are undecided, this special outreach can make all the difference. Pace Receives National Recognitions for Service and Community

Honoring its institutional commitment to service and community engagement, Pace received the Carnegie Foundation’s 2015 Community Engagement Classification and the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction. “At Pace, community engagement is woven into the fabric of our identity,” said President Stephen J. Friedman. “These national honors acknowledge the long-standing commitment the university has made to innovative teaching, learning, and producing research that makes a difference in communities. Students Celebrated at FRBNY Reception
On January 29, a celebratory reception was held in honor of Pace University’s team of five students who took home top honors at the national College Fed Challenge held at the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors in December. Helen Mucciolo ‘93 [Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) Corporate Representative] acted as the host of the reception, which was held at FRBNY. Employees in attendance included approximately 30 Pace University alumni. They were joined by Joseph Moreale, Chair of the Economics Department, and Jeanne Hayes and Daria Moringiello of Development and Alumni Relations. The Pace team defeated Princeton University, Bentley University, University of Chicago and University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, and became the first team from the Second District to win the competition since its inception in 2004.

Congratulations to the fourteenth class to be inducted into the Pace Athletics Hall of Fame: Ronald Focazio (Men's Basketball '64), Elizabeth Hernandez (Women's Basketball '83), Kerri Kaylor (Women's Soccer '06), Jeffrey Kelly (Men's Basketball '69) and Dr. George Pinkham (Football '86). Inductees will be recognized at a formal ceremony that also kicks off Westchester Reunion and Alumni Weekend on Thursday, April 23 at Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison, NY.
